This role is essential in ensuring that Operational Learning & Development (OL&D) delivers excellent customer service by meeting the bespoke training needs of various departments, while maintaining full compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. The Trainer will also ensure that employees are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to handle customer interactions professionally, understand financial products and services, and adhere to FCA and GDPR requirements.

  • Lead by Example: Demonstrate company values and best practices through your own conduct, setting a high standard for others to follow.
  • Develop and Maintain Training Materials: Design engaging and effective training resources, including lesson plans, to support both onboarding and ongoing development. Ensure all materials are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect current processes, policies, and best practices.
  • Monitor and Report Progress: Track employee development, maintain accurate training records, and regularly report progress and concerns to the OL&D Manager and Team Leader.
  • Act as a Point of Contact: Serve as a trusted referral point for new starters, offering guidance and support throughout their onboarding journey.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Team Leaders, IT, and other departments such as Audit, Work Force Management (WFM), and Coaching to ensure consistency and resolve operational or training-related issues.
  • Communicate Effectively: Foster open and positive communication with individuals and teams to promote a collaborative and informed working environment.
