About the Role

Job Purpose

You will be responsible for both the asset management functions across the various businesses within the SME Lending division. Working closely with the key stakeholders across each business you will ensure robust processes are in place in support of our key target markets whilst building capability within the business to support the specialist areas.

Key Duties

With ultimate responsibility for the following key areas:

  • Asset Valuations in support of new business proposals and in life evaluations for risk purposes
  • Develop exit strategies and initiatives to maximise opportunities within the portfolio.
  • Create whole life (Asset lifecycle) plans in core sectors
  • You will also be tasked with the successful implementation of the asset management strategy across asset finance which will include the development of the following:
    • Management of office based front end service support
    • Automation and market data for desktop analysis
    • Oversight of an approved panel for sources of information for use by in-house valuation team and/or recovery agents
    • Intelligent use of historic asset data collated within the business to provide more accurate valuations and mark to market data
  • Development of asset finance wide objectives and strategies as they relate to your area of responsibility and the ability to carry them through with confidence and determination
  • Conduct regular risk and reviews together with management of specialist areas
  • Ensure that user training, support, advice and feedback is provided to your team
  • Design and maintain affective procedures and put them into operation
  • Report and present to management committees and give key input to the strategic planning of the division.
  • An understanding of behavioural RVs and soft asset financing useful.

About You

Key Skills

  • Good working knowledge of UK legislative and regulatory requirements in relation to asset finance
  • Maintains solid relationships with external bodies, suppliers and clients

  • skilled in the use of Excel and proficient in Word and PowerPoint as well as navigating the internet to source information, with the ability and willingness to further develop MS Office skills
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Working Hours
37.5 hours a week.  Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm with an hour for lunch.
