About the Role

Job Purpose

To provide audit and property advice to the Group

Key Duties
  • Complete audit reviews and reports as required on properties that have been valued for the Group
  • Be fully aware of audit review processes to be applied whether on a desk top, Dive-By or full inspection basis
  • Travel throughout the UK as required to fulfil the requirements of the role
  • Prepare and manage workload in a pro-active manner to achieve business objectives / SLA’s
  • Prepare and manage audit feedback review meetings, to include preparation of formal management reports (interim and final) in relation to a round of audits
  • Apply benchmarking standards and develop / maintain MI
  • Be aware of operational risk requirements and reporting
  • To apply and advise on company lending criteria, procedures and directives in terms of their application to the cases being reviewed
  • To apply and advise on RICS requirements (Red Book or otherwise) including Conflicts of Interests
  • Keep up to date with RICS audit requirements / developments to ensure that these are applied consistently within the Surveyors team and Operational area
  • Maintain a knowledge of audit practices being adopted within the market place and otherwise promote the application of good practice
  • Act as Duty Surveyor as required to be a point of contact on technical referrals to business areas as required to include Underwriting, Completions and Redbrick teams as required
  • Provide assistance to other departments within the group as required in relation to the buy to let process and other divisions within Paragon including the LPA Receiver, Legal Department, Underwriting, PSF, Pre-salvage, Collections
  • Provide Management or other Reports as required to assist with Group Strategy to be determined
  • Undertake specific tasks which may vary from general definitions such as Desk Top appraisals and a review of valuations completed by others for the Group
  • Complete Validations that fall to the Duty Surveyor to complete and assist with the management of the validations list to ensure completion of these within SLA
  • Assist with suitability referrals and valuation challenges
  • Assist with retention queries and complete Desk Top referral reports where appropriate in accordance with procedures
  • Assist with the preparation of technical updates and processes / procedures as required
  • Comply with RICS regulations and all other requirements
  • Comply with all other Audit and HR policies
  • To be familiar with key operating systems including Quest, Aries, excel, word and other systems / databases used

Working Hours
37.5 hours per week – whilst our standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm (one hour for lunch) we encourage flexible working and your preferred options will be considered.
