About the Role

Job Purpose
The cyber security team have a requirement for a security architect to join a business-focused security team. The team manage a broad range of controls and products as well as advisory to various team in the business and its functions. Paragon Bank is currently underway with a digital transformation programme, this role will be focused on supporting this programme working on the security aspects, design, delivery and maintaining architectural governance.  The role will be project focused (approx. 80%) but there is also a requirement to support other aspects of the security programme such as including being a member incident response team and various architectural/security forums.  
Key Duties
  • Understand the wider security landscape of Paragon Bank and security issues of that UK Financial services face
  • Understand and interpret business and IT strategy and what that potentially means to the security of any assets  

  • Experience in delivering security for a modern Microsoft environment
  • The successful applicant will have experience in the design and implementation of aspects of Microsoft architecture such as Identity and Access services across internal, B2B and B2C environments, O365 collaboration suites
  • Strong experience in Securing Azure Architecture
  • Technical experience with PaaS/IaaS/SaaS
  • Drive/Refine the cloud security strategy and policy

  • Follow core processes and procedures such as change control etc
  • Keep appropriate records and update documentation or checklists as applicable
  • Devise educational materials as required

People, Project and Budget
  • Be an ambassador and technical representative for Cloud security
  • Competent in representing the bank when working with specialist third parties

About You

Key Skills
  • Microsoft Identity and Access solutions including conditional access
  • Security of O365 Collaboration suite
  • Designing and implementing MS O365/Azure SaaS services with integration to CRM, Banking platforms
  • Implementing enterprise architecture solutions
  • Strong organizational skills, excellent communication and people skills
  • Must be able to work independently and across different project teams
Qualifications and Experience
It’s expected that the candidate will have core security qualifications (such as CISSP, CISM) and vendor specific qualifications to support this role. A qualification in TOGAF or the ability to demonstrate the application of its principals would be an advantage. Vendor qualifications including MS security /Cloud security is an advantage   
37.5 hours per week – whilst our standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm (one hour for lunch) we encourage flexible working and your preferred options will be considered.  In the future the position is likely to involve an overtime pattern of 7.5 hours over a calendar month - to be taken in Lieu.  To be discussed at interview.
