Job Purpose
 
The Infrastructure Delivery Manager will be responsible for delivery of all Infrastructure and Cloud projects as well as managing the demand of Infrastructure and Cloud services. The role will provide drive and focus in the delivery of their function. Working very closely with the Service and Support teams, as well as the Solution Delivery Managers, to deliver a portfolio of work to time, cost and quality. Some Production support will also be required.
 
Key Duties 
  • Initial requirement will be working with the other Leads in Infrastructure and Cloud and wider IT team to redefine and implement a new Infrastructure delivery process supported by CSFs and KPIs
  • Line management of a delivery team
  • Matrix management of other technical staff
  • 3rd party management to deliver certain technical components
  • Management of the Infrastructure portfolio of projects comprising of small and large changes
  • Primary contact for Business Change and other Delivery Managers for technical delivery
  • Ensure correct Service Transition and On-boarding for new technologies
  • Creation of technical requirements/scope and estimations
  • Delivery of technical designs as required
  • Resource management of delivery team
  • Continually asses and improve processes
  • Ensure non-functional requirements are defined and met for all Business Change projects

About You

Key Skills
  • Experience of managing a technology portfolio
  • Experience in managing a technical team
  • Agile experience a must
  • Experience managing 3rd party deliveries
  • Good understanding of Infrastructure technologies
  • Technical background desirable
  • Strong communication with great stakeholder management skills
  • ITIL Experience desirable
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Ability to inspire not only direct reports but also to help lead the department to an improved delivery process
 
Essential Qualifications
  • Grade C or above GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
  • Must be educated to degree or equivalent experience
  • Current UK Driving License
  • Project Management Qualifications (eg. Prince/PMI)
 
Working Hours
 
Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm with one hour for lunch, 37.5 hours a week.
